The Wizard of Oz at James L. Knight Center
The Wizard of Oz is a beloved musical adaptation of L. Frank Baum's 1900 novel, shaped for generations of audiences by the classic 1939 MGM film. The story follows Dorothy Gale from Kansas to the magical Land of Oz, where she travels with the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion in search of the Wizard.
The production brings familiar characters and songs to the stage, including “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “We're Off to See the Wizard,” and “If I Only Had a Brain.” Colorful settings such as Munchkinland, the Yellow Brick Road, and Emerald City help create the show's fantastical atmosphere. The 1939 film won two Academy Awards, including Best Original Song for “Over the Rainbow.”

The Wizard Of Oz Miami reviews
not enough Donnas! *** Super Pat ***
The show started at 7:30, but we arrived in time to catch the last song of The Donnas' set - unfortunately, as they were a major reason for our attendance. What I got from Blondie was what I had expected, while The Wizard Of Oz exceeded my expectations. It was quite the opposite of the usual movie experience, where you check your watch to see how much longer it will last. When The Wizard Of Oz ended, we found ourselves exclaiming, "It's already over?!" This was not due to a short performance, but because they managed to keep the audience completely engaged. Neil's guitar skills are still superior to many more famous musicians, and Pat's vocals are as impressive as ever. Together, they continue to deliver an outstanding performance. Neil's transitions and introductions added a new dimension to the show, and their interactions with the crowd were memorable. The show concluded at 11:00, providing us with great entertainment value.
